Gemma joined Google in 2015 working with media agencies as a performance specialist before taking on a role in the customer solutions team, consulting with the UK’s biggest advertisers and their agencies on Search marketing.
Outside of the day job, Gemma’s gay job is that of co-chair of the London chapter of Gayglers; Google’s LGBT+ employee resource group (ERG). In this role Gemma is tasked with the planning and executing of the annual plan along with a steerco of 7 Googlers from all parts of the business. The Gayglers focus on internal events and initiatives that helps Google be an inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work. External efforts include partnerships with LGBT+ organisations and charities to raise awareness and funds for important initiatives.
