Arvin is the Technical Underwriting Officer for the International Casualty team in AIG. His career at AIG began in 2014 on the Summer Internship within the Casualty EMEA Regional Team. He re-joined AIG in 2015 on the Graduate Scheme, as part of the same team and has since held various different roles of increased responsibility within the Casualty Underwriting World. He graduated from Queen Mary, University of London in 2015 with a BSc in Business Management. During his time at Queen Mary he was an active member of the QM LGBTQ+ Society which aimed to create a safe place for all LGBTQ+ students on campus as well as providing a platform to discuss LGBTQ+ issues and champion diversity and inclusion across campus.
In his current capacity Arvin sits on the AIG Steering Committee for the Young Professionals Employee Resource Group (ERG) and is an active champion for professional development and career progression for Young Professionals within and outside of AIG. He has helped create mentoring opportunities for local communities to help students from underprivileged backgrounds get into the working world. Additionally he has also helped mentor young professionals across the Insurance Industry, who have recently entered the working world. He is currently working with a cohort of Young Professionals from a range of backgrounds across the Insurance Industry to help champion digital innovation in the London Market. He is also an active member of AIG’s LGBT Employee Resource Group (ERG) STEP which aims on advocating diversity and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ within AIG.
