Welcome + Keynote

We will kick off with Marty’s Keynote presentation on ‘The Trans+ history lesson we never had.’ Expect a short time travel through millennia to visit our gender diverse ancestors and their stories. We bring the lessons of our past back to inform our present moment as we visit the ancient world, the world’s first trans clinic, the beginnings of our modern Trans+ rights movement and more besides.

Panel Discussion

Onto the main event: a panel discussion on the power of Trans+ storytelling

Marty will then lead a panel discussion with Ki and Alex that will explore the intersection of the creative industries and Trans+ advocacy. It will focus in particular on the power that storytelling and knowledge of our history, through media including TV, theatre, journalism and art, has to build understanding of Trans+ communities and Trans+ inclusion. We invite you to join us on this journey of learning, however far or new you may be to it.

Who is this event for?

This event is for everyone, Trans+ folk and allies alike, to come and join us for an evening of conversation and connection over Trans+ storytelling.
