2020 has been a trying year for everyone and in particular for people’s mental health. The LGBTQ+ community tends to be more susceptible to mental health issues and this has been exacerbated by the effects of lockdowns and isolation.
Join Wave and Dr. Dominique Thomson discussing Mental Health in 2020 from an LGBTQ+ perspective including mental health distress and management techniques in these trying times.
Dr. Dominique Thompson is a GP, TEDx speaker, author and educator, with over 20 years of clinical experience caring for students, including as a police and expedition doctor, with particular experience looking at why young people self-harm.
She is a Clinical Advisor for NICE, the Royal College of GPs, the Anorexia Bulimia Care charity, and for Student Minds, the UK’s student mental health charity.
